Education

I'm currently a student at Harvard University as part of the Harvard College Class of 2025. I will be concentrating in mathematics and aiming for a concurrent masters in statistics.

Previously, I was a student at Sunway College, where I did my Cambridge Assessment International Education A Levels. As a Jeffrey Cheah Entrance Scholar, I achieved 4A*'s in mathematics, further mathematics, physics, and chemistry.

Before that, I studied at SMK Seri Bintang Utara for my Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examinations. As school valedictorian, I received 9A+'s for all nine subjects taken in the pure science track.

Awards

Mathematics — I was among the top 24 selected to represent Malaysia at the 2021 Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad. I also won the gold medal in the 2020 Malaysian Mathematical Olympiad, Hong Kong International Mathematics Olympiad, and Kangaroo Mathematics Competition.

Dancesport — I placed 4th at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games representing Malaysia. I was also the top Southeast Asian in the rising star event of the 2019 Blackpool Dance Festival and gold medalist for select events at both the 2017 and 2018 WDCAL World Championships.

Chess — I obtained both the team and individual gold medals at the 2017 National Scholastic Chess Championships. Then, I was chosen as the captain of the state team at the 2018 edition of the event. I was also selected to represent Malaysia at the 2017 Eastern Asian Youth Chess Championships.

Experience

As a dance instructor, I conducted group ballroom lessons at DanceVMe studio to students aged 10 to 13, covering all aspects of technique and choreography from the beginner up to the high pre-amateur level. My pupils have gone on to win numerous gold medals in local competitions.

As a data entry lead, I supervised the team at CT Clinic in the digitization of over 20 years of clinical records. I optimized workflow by 40% and saved up to 3 months of work by implementing appropriate scanning and scripting software.

As a mathematics tutor, I have accrued over 50+ hours of teaching. I provided personalized guidance and lesson plans to students taking classes ranging from pre-calculus and trigonometry in high school to multivariable calculus and linear algebra in college.
